JP Morgan Modelling network support infrastructure. JP Morgan operated a complex network infrastructure sourced from many different suppliers and was managed by a third party consortium. The resultant process was complex, time consuming and failed to deliver the required level of service. The project aimed to understand the issues and identify improvements. As principal consultant Simon was responsible for: · Facilitating cross-functional, user workshops · Capturing, analysing and prioritising key issues · Creating a computer model of the current business · Identifying and recommending changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of network infrastructure support. Equant Driving out waste from current business. Equant is a successful and fast growing telecoms provider. To maintain the high growth rate Equant needed to understand the current end-to-end business model, in particular the relationship to critical third parties processes. Simon was the lead consultant responsible for · Designing and facilitating a series of workshops with key staff to capture the processes, supporting issues and problems. · Co-ordinating process teams in France and the UK. · Developing a computer-based model of the current business. · Identifying significant areas of waste and opportunities for future growth. Unipart International. Defining global purchasing organisation. To support the move to global purchasing Unipart needed to significantly enhance its existing purchasing processes and the organisation that supported it. Simon was the lead consultant responsible for: · Modelling and analysis of current purchasing processes to identify waste and opportunity. · Redesigning purchasing processes to support global purchasing London Insurance Market. Major process redesign project. This project focussed on removing waste and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of back office processes within the London Insurance Market. Simon was the lead business consultant on the project and was responsible for: · Facilitating cross-functional workshops · Identifying excess cost and waste in current processes · Designing future business processes.
